Living and Working With My Angels and Guides


I often get asked about how I work with my angels and guides, why do I do it and what difference does it make to me. 
The reason I do it is because I know from experience that asking for their help,  listening to their guidance and feeling their love and support enables me to live my life with ease and with as little upset and worry as possible. 
From working with my angels and guides I was shown my life’s purpose and encouraged to take that path, no matter what others thought of me.   My angels and guides gave me the courage that I needed to stand up and say ‘this is what I do’ and I am so pleased that I listened to them and took that leap of faith. 
You see:
I love reading for people, giving them hope for the present and the future.  Helping them to release the past and the things that are holding them back.  I love seeing them flourish and move forward in their life.  Many of them now working and living with their own angels and guides and starting on their own spiritual journey. 
I love helping people to connect to their angels and guides so that they too can start to work with them and bring them into their daily lives.   They will then teach their children who can then get the support, help and love from their own guides.  
I love getting feedback from clients and friends about the things that have happened to them. The signs that they have received and how their guides have helped them.  Some of these incidents sound bizarre and unbelievable but they do happen and are miraculous.  As I often say ‘you just couldn’t write this stuff.’ 
I love imparting knowledge to people,  helping them to see things differently and to accept it.   
I am so grateful for all of the wonderful people that have come into my life because of this path that I have chosen. 
The opportunities that I have had to try new approaches to things.  The healings that I have received, on one occasion from a total stranger who I knew had been sent to help me.  And me totally trusting that it was all ok and I was safe.   I had my first Shamanic healing the other week, which was absolutely fascinating and highly effective.  I wouldn’t have even contemplated having one years ago. And now my mind is being opened to all kinds of new things. 
Being able to send healing energy to my mum, who lives 200 miles away from me, so that I can help her with the pain that she is enduring.  And hearing back from her that she had the best night’s sleep in weeks following the healing.  Telling me that the Reiki healing that I am sending to her does her more good than the treatment she gets at the NHS Pain Clinic.   The Reiki and Rahanni healing energy that I wouldn’t have been attuned to had it not have been suggested by my guides. 
I have gone through some major changes in my life over the last couple of years and without the support of my angels and guides I don’t think I would have managed to get through it.  Well certainly not as easily as I have done.  I am sure by now that I would have been depressed or ill with all of the worry and stress that I would have endured.
I would have had to have gone back to full time employment in an office again, which would have suppressed me, my heart and most importantly my soul.   Instead I am continuing to be self employed and doing the work that I love to do so much.   The work that fills my heart and soul and the work that I am here to do. 
I am still standing, I have a lovely home with fantastic energies.  I am able to pay my bills and live a joyful life.  I have so many wonderful friends who bring me joy and happiness and help me in their own special ways. 
I have been reminded that the material things in life can be superficial and that happiness, love, health and freedom are the most important things that we can have. 
All of these things and more are the reasons why I love working with my angels and guides.
How do you work with your angels and guides?

As for working with them – it is just so easy to do.   All you have to do is ask them to start to help you.

  • Start to talk to them, I know that you can’t necessarily see them (more on this on another blog), but trust that they are there with you.  Use your manners and be courteous and ask for the help that you need.  It can be help with big things, or small ones they don’t mind at all, they will hear you and start to help you.  As long as it is for the good of everyone concerned then they will help you.
  • Things won’t always come in straight away, often they do, but sometimes it takes longer, there will be a reason for that happening and again I will talk more on this on another blog.
  • Hand your worries over to your angels.  Ask them to take them away and to show you a solution. Again more on this to come.
  • Trust that you have been heard and that they will be working in the background to help you.

Start asking today for the help that you need.  You don’t have to tell people what you are doing, some people will never be open minded enough to understand this, or be willing to at least give it a shot.   Don’t worry there will not be a sign on your forehead telling everyone that you work with your angels.

However, wait until they see your transformation, they will soon be asking what you are doing differently and what your secret is.

It is then that, if you feel confident enough to do so, you can share your knowledge and spread the word about how wonderful working with your angels is.  How beautiful, how loving, supporting and how nurtured you feel at all times.  How life isn’t quite so difficult any more.  How you never feel alone.

My life has completely changed since I have been living and working with my angels and guides.  I have great adventures coming up for me.  I am learning to let go of things that no longer serve me and to embrace new and wonderful things into my life.  And all with the help, support and unconditional love from my angels and guides.

Grounding and Protecting


Whenever I work with clients, whether it be on a workshop or on a one to one basis, I always teach them, or if they already know, then emphasise  the importance of making sure that their energies are protected and that they are grounded too.

If you are not sure what I mean by these terms then here is how I like to think about it.


As you know everything on this earth is made up of energy, all vibrating at different levels or frequencies.

Even people vibrate at different levels; miserable, sad, grumpy and negative people vibrate on a much lower energy than the ones who are always happy, jolly, positive and loving and living life to the full.

You can be influenced by the earth’s energy and that of the moon too.

You can become influenced by the energy around you and this can cause you to feel flaky, floaty, flighty, off kilt, in other words off balance.

The act of grounding is a really simple exercise that can have immediate results and you can start to feel better and more settled right way.

Sometimes you don’t realise just how ‘off kilt’ you are feeling until you start to ground yourself.


Ways to Ground

Here are some quick and easy ways to ground yourself.  They can be done at any time.   I tend to do mine daily, at the start of the day.  However sometimes I need to top up during the day depending on what I am doing and what I am being exposed to.

  • Sit in a chair with your feet firmly on the ground and imagine that from the soles of your feet you sprout roots.  Thick roots, like a  tree’s roots.   Imagine that these roots go down, deep  into the ground and spread out wide.    Take a few moments just feeling your energies ground.
  • Stand barefoot on the grass, paving, or on the beach for a few minutes.  And feel your energies going down into the earth.   This is particularly good if you do it at night whilst looking at the stars.
  • Drink water.
  • Drink water whilst standing outside.
  • Do some gardening.
  • Go for a walk in the woods or countryside.
  • Spend some time by the ocean, a river or a body of water.  Again if you can go barefoot even better.





This is very important for us all.   It helps to protect our energy from the influence of another person’s energy.

For example, we all know the type of person who likes nothing more than to moan and complain and drain down on everyone.  You know the type – the glass half empty type.

They spending time talking to you, moaning and complaining about this and that.  All of the time they are in your wonderful and vibrant energy, soaking it up whilst you listen patiently to their latest woes and dramas.  After a while they stroll off, full of the joys of spring and your fantastic vibes, having dumped their negative energy on you and leaving you feeling depleted and shattered.

Or worse still, you may know someone whose energies really don’t feel nice or right at all.  You perhaps cannot put your finger on it, but they may make you feel uncomfortable or ill at ease.

Well if you do a simple protection exercise every day (at the same time as doing your grounding) then this will help to protect your energies, it will stop them being zapped by other people.

You can also top this up whenever  you need to, throughout the day.  For e.g. if you see someone who you know leaves you feeling worse for wear, then top up as you see them approaching you.  They won’t see you do it, or indeed know what you have done.  But they will leave you wondering why they don’t feel like they normally do when they have been in your company.

Ways to Protect Your Energy

  • Imagine that you put a cloak around yourself, which drapes to the floor.  Pull the hood up and drop a veil over your face.  So that you are completely covered by the cloak.
  • Imagine that you are wearing a suit of armour, which completely covers your body and face.   I particularly like this one if I think that people are talking about me behind my back.  I imagine that their comments are like little arrows that they are firing at me.  As they hit my armour they ‘plop’ to floor without getting through to me.  It is most satisfying.
  • You can imagine standing in a giant crystal that protects you.
  • You can imagine wrapping a large bubble around you to protect you.   Or use bubble wrap.
  • Imaging white light around you protecting you.
  • You can visualise standing in a funnel of light or crystal, which completely covers you.
  • Or pulling a sheath of light up from your feet to the top of your head, which protects you.
  • You can call in Archangel Michael to protect you.  He will always come in straight away to do it – especially if you are feeling particularly vulnerable or ill at ease.


Crystals  are also good for protecting you and your home from negative energies, including those emitted from PCs, laptops, mobile phones and tablets.

Some that I can recommend are:

  • Black Tourmaline
  • Black Obsidian
  • Hematite
  • Jet
  • Turquoise

Energies in the home

If you think about it anyone coming into your home can be bringing in negative energy with them.  They can pick it up from other people and bring it in with them.

So it is important to clear the build up of stale energy in your home.  You can do this as often as you like and I highly recommend that you do it at least two or three times a week.


Methods of Protection


You can do this by burning incense (Sandalwood) or white sage, or if you prefer you can use the following aromatherapy oils in a burner or diffuser:

  • Juniper
  • Rosemary
  • Sandalwood

You can also purchase special sprays for your room too.  These are useful if you are holding an event in a hotel conference room or meeting room and you cannot burn incense, these will clear the air for you.

You can also ask Archangel Michael to protect your home and everyone in it.  And he will do so for you with pleasure.

Look To The Light




Even in your darkest hours there is always a glimmer of hope.  

It will always be there; you just need to seek it.

When you see it hold it in your heart and in your mind.

Hold it there and let it grow and shine.

As it shines it will give you the strength, courage and hope that you need to keep you going.

To guide you through the darkest hours until your day is filled with light again.

Are You Ready To Live Happily In The Now?

So as we come to the end of the first month of 2015, I wonder how everyone is feeling?  Has the euphoria of a new year now been extinguished or is it still shining brightly inside of you?

For many of you it may be back to normal – even new year resolutions, if you made any, may be starting to fizzle already.  For others it will hopefully continue for the rest of the year.

For me this new year has been a bit different from previous ones and I am really enjoying it.  I didn’t make a big song and dance about New Year’s Eve, yes I went out and saw in the new year, but to me it was just like welcoming in another day.

Another day filled with love, joy, happiness, faith and hope.

You see I learnt a great deal in 2014, a great deal about life in general but more importantly a great deal about myself.

I also learnt that living isn’t constantly looking to the future for happiness and joy.  Living a great life is being in the now and enjoying everything about the NOW.  Not always looking forward to what tomorrow or the next day brings.

I was always the one to say “When we retire we can do this……”  or “When we get the money we can do that…..”

But it occurred to me recently that I really may not be here tomorrow – so just get on with it today.

Last year I went on retreats that I wouldn’t normally have done, I saw  many live bands and live music, I travelled more than I would normally have done, sometimes on my own too.   I met new and wonderful friends, worked with some tremendous clients and had some great times with my family.

Obviously some days weren’t as good as others and there were times when my new found positivity and optimism were put to the test. But I came through and allowed myself a few hours of “ugh” time and then got right back on track.

And when it came to midnight on the 31 December 2014 I really didn’t want to say goodbye to 2014, I was quite happy for everything just to continue to flow in as it has been doing.

So no big deal for me this new year, no resolutions, no “Oh thank goodness this year will be better” etc etc.  Just a continuum of how I have been living my life for the last 12 months.

And what is that?

Well it is:

  • Enjoying waking up every morning.
  • Enjoying the day no matter what.
  • Being thankful for all of the things that I have in my life.
  • Trying to see the good in everyone (ok so this does need lots of practice and perseverance  and I haven’t quite got it nailed yet).
  • Enjoying getting out in the fresh air and nature.
  • Looking after my health and wellbeing.
  • Looking for and saying thanks for the beautiful things that are always around me.  No matter where we live or are, there is always something beautiful to see, we just have to look for it.  (Nature gives us all of these gifts but we are so busy with our lives that we hardly notice them at all).

Nowadays I try to notice as much as I can and smile and acknowledge what makes me happy.

I used to be quite a pessimist in my early years.  I thought that I didn’t have much to smile about because life always seemed to be dealing me the hard cards.  But since I have been looking on the positive side of things joy, happiness and money are just flowing in.

I now know that your mind set has a lot to do with all of this and that we are like big magnets attracting in the same as how we are feeling and the things that we are saying.

If we are feeling negative we will bring in lots to make us unhappy and sad.

And if we are feeling positive then we will bring in lots to make us happy.

And note that I have underlined feeling, it isn’t just what you are thinking and saying it is how you feel inside that makes these things happen. 

You may say “I feel very happy today.”  But unless you are feeling “very happy”  or “happy” then it won’t work.

This is where it can be a little tricky especially if you know you need to feel happy but are actually feeling fed up or sad.


Feeling Happier

So how do you get to feel happy?

Well unless you are a real “misery guts” there will always be something to make you smile or lift your mood.  It could be:

  • Music – a certain artist of piece of music that makes you feel great and uplifted.
  • A favourite film.
  • Going the gym.
  • Running.
  • Getting out in the fresh air.
  • Walking.
  • Reading.
  • Taking a lovely scented and relaxing bath.
  • Gardening.
  • DIY.
  • Painting and drawing.
  • Looking through old photographs.
  • Thinking about one of your favourite places that you like to visit.  And even if you cannot physically get there you can imagine it and remember it and think of the good times that you have spent there.
  • Smile more and when you are out and about smile at strangers and say hello.  They will say back and not only will you be making yourself feel better but will also be making a difference to their live too.

You will have your own favourites.  Lift your mood by doing something to make you feel good and recognise how much better you feel inside.  How much lighter you feel, how much brighter everything seems.

Practice this as often as you can, at least once or twice a day and notice how much better and happier you begin to feel.   And over time notice how your life starts to change around you.  More things will come into your life to make you happy.

Things That We Say and Think

Also what we say and think can effect what is going on around us too.  For example if we feel angry, frustrated, cross and disappointed then we are putting out negative vibrations.  And if we again look at the magnet then we will be attracting in more things to make us feel angry, frustrated, cross and disappointed.

If we say or think something derogatory about someone, then we can expect the same back at us.


Keep silence


It is really a case of being aware of what we are thinking, saying and feeling at all times.  And if any of these are negative then we need to counter balance by thinking really good thoughts, saying nice things about someone and feeling good inside.

Gratitude for What You Already Have

Another important thing to remember and to put into practice is to start saying “thank you” for the things in your life that you already have.  And no matter how down we may be feeling there is always something to say thank you for.  Here are some examples:

  • The food that you eat
  • The water that you drink
  • The heating in the house
  • The warm clothes that you have
  • Your children
  • Your partner
  • Your friends
  • Your pets
  • Your good health

See how simple they are.  They can be more detailed but this is just a start; somewhere to begin.




Try saying “thank you” for 5 or 6 things that you are grateful for in your life, say it every morning before you get up or whilst you are cleaning your teeth or taking your morning shower.

And then say “thank you” again just before you go to sleep for the things that you have experienced during the day.  Again these can be really simple, for e.g:

  • The parking space that you got at work
  • Meeting your friend for coffee
  • How well your children have behaved today
  • Meeting your deadline at work
  • The lovely walk that you went on
  • How beautiful the weather was today

You can be thankful for whatever you want to be thankful for.

It takes minutes few but will really make a difference to your life.

You may be saying “Oh here we go again – someone else spouting on about positive thinking – what a load of rubbish”, which is exactly what I used to think, but give it a go and see how much better you feel about things and life in general.

You can completely change your life around with positive thinking, positive feelings, positive words and gratitude. 

It does take practice and it also needs to become a habit for it to work consistently.   But just try these simple exercises for now to get you on the right track and keep doing them and then notice how your life starts to change, how happier you feel inside and how more good things come into your life to be happy about.

I really wish I had understood about all of this back in the 1990s and noughties.   How different life would have been for me and my family.

However it is never too late to start and by practicing happy thoughts, feelings and words then you will soon start to notice the difference.

Is There A Buzzing In Your Ears?

It might sound like a ridiculous question, but I mean it – is there a buzzing in your ears?

When you sit quietly does it sound like that fuzzy, buzzy, white noise that you get when you go to a gig or you used to get when you went to a rave?w

Have you had it for a while but you have been trying to ignore it? Or maybe you have thought that you have the beginning of Tinnitus?

Tinnitus – Tinnitus (from the Latin tinnitus or “ringing”) is a condition characterized by ringing, swishing, or other noises that appear to be originating in the ear or head. Not normally a dangerous or serious problem, tinnitus is usually a symptom of some other underlying condition and most often considered a nuisance.

Mmm well I have that buzzy, fuzzy, ringing in my ears sometimes and I know for a fact that it isn’t Tinnitus.

I have clients who have been to me with ringing, buzzy, fuzzy, clicking sounds in their ears and they haven’t got Tinnitus either.

How do I know this?  Well when we acknowledge the sound and the ringing and clicking and we ask “Ok what are you telling me and what do I need to know?” then it stops.

You see sometimes, not always I hasten to add, the white noise is a way that your guides and angels try to communicate with you.  They have messages and guidance for you and they want you to hear them.

Now I am not saying that everyone who gets this noise and discomfort in the ears hasn’t got Tinnitus. My goodness me, I wouldn’t want the medical profession or the people suffering from Tinnitus on my back giving me what for.

What I am saying is that for some people all it takes is for them to acknowledge it and ask what it is that they need to know and the noise will stop.

Recently I ran a workshop all about connecting with your angels and 3 people in the group (4 including me) had experienced or were experiencing this white noise or ringing in their ears.    One person had been suffering with it for 4 years.  Once they recognised what was happening and acknowledged it the noise abated.

Interesting stuff isn’t it.


You see your angels and guides can only help you if you ask them to.  However, when they have messages for you, or see that life is being particularly challenging,or in fact they know that you are at a crossroads in your life with important decisions to make, then they will try and connect with you and get you to notice them so that they can help you to make life easier for yourself.

And the more they try to get your attention and fail the more the signs become more apparent.

And guess what is quite hard to ignore ringing in your ears!

The first time that I experienced it was a couple of years ago.  I was the Event Manager at a large all day event in London.  I wanted the day to go well and although on the outside I was cool and collected on the inside I was flapping. I really wanted it to be successful event for my client.

I was standing at the side of the room checking the timings when I got a painful clicking in my ear.  I automatically put my hand on my ear and it stopped.  Then when I took my hand away it started again.  I thought to myself “what on earth is going on?” Then I realised whatever it was it was telling me to calm down and that everything was ok and under control.

At the time I had already begun to work with my angels, so although it was a shock I also realised what was going on.  So I acknowledged that they were communicating with me and I thanked them (in my head) and then it all went quiet.

Now when I get the ringing and buzzing, because I still do, I just ask them “What are you telling me, what do I need to know?” and then I trust the messages that are coming into my head; I trust my intuition.

So next time you experience the noises, just ask “What do I need to know, what are you telling me?” and see if it stops and see what the message is.
